Summary
Automation Movers International is seeking high-caliber Service Technicians with a specialized background in Grinding applications and general machine tool service. This is a heavy-travel role designed for “road warriors” who excel at diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical issues. While you will train at our Hebron, KY facility, you will be deployed to support key projects, including critical work for Fives Landis Corp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Commissioning: Lead the mechanical and electronic leveling, alignment, and full installation of CNC machines (Vertical Lathes, Boring Bars, HMCs).
- Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Precision Calibration: Use precision tools to check and correct horizontal/vertical alignments; perform ball screw replacements and machine “Health Checks.”
- Control Systems: Work extensively with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controllers to diagnose logic and motion issues.
- Customer Ambassadorship: Act as the face of AMI and Fives Landis, managing on-site customer relations and resolving technical grievances with professionalism.
Required Qualifications:
- Grinding Expertise: Specific experience servicing or operating industrial grinding machinery (highly preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Proven experience with CNC manual lathes, milling machines, and boring bars.
- Electrical Proficiency: Ability to read schematics and diagnose PLC systems/controllers.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools and a deep understanding of mechanical assemblies (e.g., ball screws, spindles).
- Travel: Ability to travel 75-100% of the time.
