AMI is looking for automation technicians in Pontiac, MI.

Job Duties

  • Provide production support by performing setup, troubleshooting and operations of automated welding
    cells within a production facility, as well as implementing best practices and proactively assess
    welding/robotic applications, as well as mentor Auto Technician Trainees
  • Plex utilization (downtime codes, note entry, documentation, locating part listings/prints, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot low voltage electrical components and circuits (Connecting circuit breakers or other
    low voltage components in a junction box or panel)
    o Wiring harnesses
    o Drive systems
    o Relays
    o Boards
  • Make proper connections of the following communication protocols: Remote I/O, Ethernet,
  • Modify and perform basic programming of robots in all robotic applications
  • Basic weld troubleshooting for all welding applications
  • Troubleshoot Poke Yoke systems and applications

Minimum 2 years as weld machine operator
Minimum 2 years as Weld Technician
Minimum 1 year on the job training as Auto Technician Trainee
